Nickel Electroplating

Nickel Plating, also known as nickel electro-deposition, is a process that uses an electrical current to coat a conductive metal with a thin layer of nickel. All items that are chrome plated will first be nickel plated to help prevent corrosion in the future.

Benefits of Nickel Plating

  • Corrosion resistance
  • Increase hardness
  • Conductivity
  • Uniformity of deposit
  • Abrasion resistance

Polishing is an important component to the Nickel Plating process if it is a decorative finish you are after. It is in the preparation of items that the best finish can be achieved. By polishing items before Nickel Plating them, you can remove many of the imperfections and increase the quality of the final finish.

While we have our own industrial polishing machines and can polish the work for you, we outsource the bulk of this work to “Escort Metal Polishers” who we work closely with on a daily basis.
With a bright finish and a yellowish hue, this finish is applied to many and varied products
